Adobe XD Playoff

Challenge: Design and rebound an experience prototype based on your city with Adobe XD.

Global Context

Toronto has a love for its sports teams that is a little nuts…to say the least. The city took the world by surprise in 2019, as Raptors Fever spread globally. Whether your a die-hard fan or a bandwagoner, the energy throughout the city leading up to playoffs was real, and contagious.

With only one NBA team in the country, getting tickets to a big game is hard, and expensive, so in true form, the fans found a way. In front of the arena, fans created a viewing area nicknamed Jurassic Park. This has evolved from a small gathering of a few hundred people, to tens of thousands of fans lining the streets. As it gets closer to the playoffs, ‘Jurassic Parks’ start to pop up all over Toronto, Canada, and the world.

The Experience

This experience makes it easier for fans to connect. Putting pop-up ‘Jurassic Parks’ on the map, making the game schedule easily accessible and bringing the teams social community together – giving them the chance to share content with other fans in real time from around the world.

As an extra element added for fun, users can switch between using the 'New School' or the 'Old School' interface. 'New School' aligning with the current red/black/gold team colours (seen above). 'Old School' throwing back to the decade spent in purple/white/red/black (seen below).
